Ballfield Dorms at Warren Wilson College

Swanannoa, NC

This series of four (4) dormitories, totaling 144 beds, were part of a master plan to transform old ball fields into a new student housing center.  The buildings are oriented around a common lawn with each dorm incorporating shared living and cooking spaces to reinforce a sense of community.  The LEED Platinum EcoDorm was the last of the Ballfield Dorms built and has become a central gathering place for the students.
